was attached, will be disconnected after her organs have been donated.
She reports it from CNN.
The American actress had already been declared dead as in California a person is considered dead once brain death is ascertained.
But the family, according to her wishes, waited until a compatible person was found for the donation.
Anne Heche passed away a week after the terrible accident that saw her crash with her car, which soon caught fire, into a house in Los Angeles.
"Anne had a huge heart and she touched everyone she met with her generous spirit of hers. She will be remembered for her courageous honesty and she will miss her light of hers," said her family and friends spokesperson.
Former partner of actress Ellen DeGeneres, known for her role in the soap opera 'Another World', 'Destini' in Italy, for which she won a Daytime Emmy in 1991, Heche starred in numerous films from the 1990s. including 'Six Days, Seven Nights', 'Donnie Brasco' and 'I Know What You Did Last Summer'.
She is the mother of two children, aged 20 and 13.
Her condition appeared very serious immediately after the accident and on 9 August the actress's spokesperson had announced a further deterioration, explaining that Anne Heche was in a coma.
"You have a significant lung injury that requires mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgery," was explained in the statement.
Following the accident she had also been investigated for drunk driving: toxicological tests would have revealed the presence of her in her blood of cocaine.
Her latest film is the thriller 'Girl in Room 13' in which she plays a mother searching for her missing daughter and Lifetime has announced that it will air in September 2022, as planned.
