Plan changes in GTA 6: Rockstar Games had to downsize the game world

Once again, information about the game world of "GTA 6" leaks out.
A well-known insider reports that the game is set in and around Miami.
Official information about the next "Grand Theft Auto" part is still missing.
Rockstar Games has not revealed anything about the game so far, other than the fact that "GTA 6" is in development.
Luckily, every now and then, some details leak out.
The well-known games journalist Jason Schreier is considered a reliable source of inside information about video games.
In his new report at
Bloomberg
he wrote down some very interesting information about "GTA 6".
In it he relies on anonymous sources involved in the development of the game.
According to the report, players will be immersed in a fictionalized version of Miami and surrounding areas.
It can be assumed that the city in the game will be called Vice City, as in previous Grand Theft Auto parts.
This information coincides with earlier leaks for "GTA 6", which were therefore spot on.
In it, Vice City was also announced as a location.
As far as the game world is concerned, however, according to Jason Schreier, there have been major changes in plans.

Rockstar Games' original plan was that "GTA 6" - if the game was actually called that - should be more extensive than all previous "Grand Theft Auto" parts.
In early drafts, the developers would have included large parts of North and South America.
According to Jason Schreier, however, these ambitions have been scaled back in order to relieve the developers and avoid overtime.
This was a big problem in the production of Red Dead Redemption 2 and Rockstar Games wants to end the bad working conditions of the developers.
Instead, the game is said to receive gradual updates after release, adding new missions and cities on a regular basis.
This is to avoid bottlenecks.
Nevertheless, the game world of "GTA 6" should be very large and also have more buildings that can be entered than was the case with previous "Grand Theft Auto" titles.
"GTA 6" gets a female protagonist
The report also confirms another rumor that has been circulating for a long time: "GTA 6" will have a female protagonist.
She is said to be a Latina who is said to be one of the two main characters.
It is unclear whether both will also be playable.
In the last part, players could control three characters with Michael, Franklin and Trevor.
When is GTA 6 coming out?
The big question that still remains unsettled is when "GTA 6" will finally appear.
Analysts are assuming a release in fiscal year 2024 - i.e. between April 2023 and March 2024. According to Bloomberg, however, the developers at Rockstar Games are skeptical.
A while ago, Jason Schreier said on Twitter that he expects a "GTA 6" release in 2025.
