In the case of the killed Ayleen from Baden-Württemberg, the Gießen public prosecutor took over the further investigations.
According to the current state of knowledge, it can be assumed that the 14-year-old died in Hesse, the authority announced.
The investigations are carried out by a 30-strong special commission (Soko) »Lacus«.
The teenager from Gottenheim disappeared on Thursday evening, July 21st.
A day later her body was found in a lake near Echzell in the Wetteraukreis.
A 29-year-old man with a criminal record from the Lahn-Dill district was arrested.
According to Soko, the strong suspicion is based in particular on the results of mobile phone and cell phone data evaluations and the finding of the girl's personal belongings in the man's apartment.
Who noticed the car?
On the evening of July 21, the suspect is said to have stopped his silver car in the area of a parking lot near Bruchsal on the A5 in the direction of Frankfurt.
The public prosecutor's office and the police in Gießen are now asking:
Who saw the car that Thursday evening in the area of the Bruchsal motorway car park (BAB 5 northbound)?
Who saw the car in the Teufelsee area near Echzell in the Wetteraukreis from Thursday night to Friday?
Who can provide information about people in the vicinity of the vehicle or other abnormalities?
