Drought: EU, possibly worst ever recorded, but incomplete data

(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, AUGUST 16 - The wave of drought that hit the European Union "seems to be worse than that of 2018", which had already been defined as "one of the worst recorded".

This was announced by a spokesman for the EU Commission, specifying that data collection "is still in progress" and that precise assessments will only be possible later.
