Positive morning for the Azzurri competing in the heats of the sixth day of the European Swimming Championships in Rome.
Lorenzo Zazzeri and Leonardo Deplano reach the semifinals in the 50 freestyle, while Alessandro Miressi and Luca Dotto remain out.
Ok also Thomas Ceccon in the 100 backstroke with the first time of the heats (53 "71) after the world record recorded in Budapest in the last World Championships. With the Venetian swimmer also Michele Lamberti in the semifinal, eliminated instead Matteo Restivo. With some thrills, but also Alberto Razetti and Pier Andrea Matteazzi snatch the pass for the afternoon semifinals in the mixed 200. Among the women ahead Ilaria Cusinato and Antonella Crispino in the 200 butterfly,
while Arianna Castiglioni and Bendetta Pilato recorded the first and second time of the eliminator heats of the 50 breaststroke respectively, thus accessing the afternoon races.
