Starukh explained that the situation in Enerhodar, the city hosting the plant, is considered "dangerous" and that the evacuation plan of the city and the area at risk of radiation contamination is currently being adjusted, taking into account recent military developments.
"The situation is dangerous not only for the Zaporizhzhia region. If we consider the mandatory evacuation zone of 50 kilometers due to a possible accident at the nuclear power plant, we are talking about more than 200,000 people in our region and 200,000 in the Dnipropetrovsk region. cities of Nikopol, Marhanets, Enerhodar, Vasylivka, Dniprorudne and others, "said the official.
Starukh then noted that the full implementation of civil protection measures is complicated because part of the territory is under the control of Russian forces.
