(ANSA) - KUBINKA, AUG 16 - The Russian Defense Ministry signed today, on the occasion of the Army 2022 forum, a contract for the delivery of Sarmat ICBMs.

"A government contract has been signed for the production and delivery of the Sarmat strategic missile system," it was announced at a ceremony.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced in June that the Sarmats will be operational in Russia by the end of the year and that they will give Russia security guarantees "against current threats" and make "those who are threatening us think".
