On vacation, at the beach, we forget everything... even to throw away our cigarette butts!


Each kilometer of seaside is soiled by more than 364 kg of waste per year, according to the calculations of "Clean gestures". Like many others

Belle-Île-en-Mer (Morbihan), its fine sandy beaches, its verdant cliffs, its steep coastal paths overlooking turquoise — and fresh — water.

On the beach of Herlin, nothing spoils this breathtaking natural spectacle.

Not a cigarette butt or plastic wrap that would disturb the rest of vacationers this morning.

They are unanimous: the island is a paradise that lives up to its name.

“Honestly, people are pretty well disciplined.

The site is beautiful and unspoiled, so they are careful,” comments Camille, 40, while helping her son put on a wetsuit.
