US rapper A$AP Rocky has been charged in California with an alleged gun attack.
The allegations relate to an incident in Hollywood on November 6, 2021, according to Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón.
The 33-year-old friend of pop star Rihanna, 34, is accused of pulling out a semi-automatic handgun and shooting at an acquaintance during a heated discussion at the time.
The victim was slightly injured, according to media reports.
"Firing a firearm in a public place is a serious offense that could have tragic consequences not only for the person attacked but also for bystanders visiting Hollywood," the prosecutor said.
The rapper, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, was arrested in April in connection with the Los Angeles incident.
He was released on bail.
A$AP Rocky will appear in court on Wednesday, according to prosecutors.
It's not the first time the rapper has gotten into trouble with the law: the musician, who grew up in the New York borough of Harlem, was convicted of assault in 2019 after a violent incident in Sweden.
He was held in custody for around four weeks, but he managed to avoid a longer prison sentence.
This was preceded by an argument in Stockholm in which the rapper and two of his companions beat up a man on the street.
Privately, A$AP Rocky has recently made more positive headlines: He and Rihanna became parents in May.
