The Damascus University Council discussed, during its meeting today, a project for differentiating admission to the PhD degree at the University of Damascus, which includes a new mechanism in terms of registration and conditions.
Dr. Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban, President of the University, asked the deans of the faculties to study the project and put their observations and suggestions before adopting the new registration mechanism.
During the meeting, the Council also discussed a number of issues and issues related to the second semester exams, which ended a few days ago in the faculties of the university and its branches. Colleges in addition to the need for cooperation
Faculties concerned with open education for the success of the exams of the second semester, which began three days ago, and to secure all the requirements of the examination process.
The meeting also touched on the reality of scientific publishing in the refereed scientific journals issued by the University of Damascus, where the director of scientific journals at the university, Dr. Ahed Abu Younes, reviewed the most important measures taken by the university administration to raise the level and content of journals and the ways and means to reach scientific publishing to distinct levels at the global level. .
