The White House said, noting that after she tested negative on Monday on the routine test, the First Lady began to experience symptoms similar to those of fever.
The molecular test performed was therefore positive.
The First Lady, in line with the guidelines of the American health authorities, will remain in solitary confinement for five days.
AJill Biden was prescribed Paxlovid.
"She She is currently in a private residence in South Carolina and she will be returning home after receiving two consecutive negative tests," says the White House.
