One of the biggest dreams of the creators of musicals is to create a cult.
That is, a musical that will have a loyal audience that will come again and again, hum the words and know the dialogues by heart.
It seems that this is what is happening now to the creators of the musical "The End" which is presented together.
The musical unfolds the story of a genius and heartbroken scientist, who tries to save the life of his lover.
For this he cooperates with death in his honor and by himself to find the way to eternal life.
"The End" was written by Mein Eben and Guy Weintraub (Eben also directs), Elad Tal wrote the melodies and Tomer Rabinovitch produced the music.
It stars Idan Alterman, Joy Rieger and Avi Dangor, and is now joined by Dana Frieder, who will share the lead role with Rieger.
In a joint interview of Frieder and Evan, the two talk about the success, the excitement and also the concerns.
"We did a cute quiz on Instagram about details from the musical, those who know them will be able to win tickets. It moved me to see the love and relationship forged between us and the audience," shares Ma'in.
"As a theater creator, I think one of the most difficult things is the feeling you create for no one, and now I find that there are people who come again and again. The goal right now is not to rest on the show that was successful, but to always preserve the spirit alive in it. This is exactly what I wished for myself in the theater."
"Ma'in still comes to every show and gives comments," Frieder adds, "I realized from the conversation between everyone that if he doesn't come, it's as if something is missing. There's just a family atmosphere here."

So what is it really like to enter the family?
"I've been with them in the process for a few months. I was very excited when they contacted me, and the truth is that it was amazing because from the very beginning I knew about the 'end' and saw clips from the musical. My butterflies in my stomach started flying. I followed their rehearsal process, many guys who were with me In the musical 'Music Madness' they take part there and I was very curious. It's not just the algorithm on Instagram but the algorithm of life. I had a crush on them, and suddenly the magic happened and they contacted me. I couldn't believe it was really happening."
Dana, is it more difficult to step into a position that has already been filled by someone else?
"I have a problem with not being on stage with her," she laughs.
"For me, this is the first time I jump into a show without an organized rehearsal process, and when I went into it I didn't even know how stressful it would be. On the one hand, it's very independent, and on the other hand, I'm lonely. I found myself doing runs alone. Mein and Guy supported me and were with me every moment Where I needed more rehearsals, and Joy was always there for anything I needed. I had HML at home, I pasted the texts on the window so that I would be able to understand the exchanges.
I decided that I would go for it with courage."
Despite the success and praise, the fringe theater in Israel does not benefit from excess budgets, and "The End" also appeared several times relatively limited.
According to Eben, "We are not London, where there is a show every day. Even in the established theater there are not many shows a month, and I personally like the fact that this event happens two or three, even four, a month. Every show becomes a celebration, there is no burnout."
Frieder adds: "There is something about the energy of people who chose to come and bought a ticket. This is not a crowd of subscribers. They come with energy and are really waiting to see it."
Have you already thought about the next thing?
"We're plotting to do something for television, that's the next thing. Dana and Joy are already inside," Eben shares, and Frieder Meid joins in: "I'm not with them. They just call and I say yes."
