Many teenagers face facial skin problems, and for them, the long vacation is an opportunity to start treating these problems and return to school with smooth facial skin.

"Many teenagers turn to the clinic with skin problems such as acne, or otherwise called sweat sores, hives, atopic dermatitis and acne," says Paula Belik Dayan, an expert in advanced cosmetics and natural medicine.

"Pimples and sweat sores appear mainly in the summer months. Acne and pimples, which are basically the same thing, are mainly due to hormonal imbalance, poor lifestyle, improper diet as a result of junk food that teenagers consume, and more."

Yaffe Maksimov, owner of beauty and cosmetics centers, explains that during adolescence the skin secretes a lot of oiliness and dirt due to hormonal processes that happen inside the body.

According to her, "as soon as one of the parents recognizes that the situation is getting worse and there are skin symptoms such as pimples that do not go away, you should go to a beautician who will diagnose the skin and develop an adapted treatment plan."

At what age can you start treatment?

Belik Dayan: "In principle, you can start treating your facial skin from the age of 12 as needed, but it is highly recommended at these ages to use only completely natural products and not active products."

Maximov talks about the nature of the treatment at these ages and says that "the treatment is very individual. Sometimes it is necessary to treat with preparations only, and sometimes it will be necessary to come for treatments regularly to clean and balance the skin in combination with technologies. If you don't catch it in time when symptoms of pimples start to appear, and you don't give accurate treatment For the problem, phenomena such as inflammatory pimples and scars may appear that will be difficult to deal with in the future, therefore arriving at the treatment in time is very critical."

There are many boys who use Roactan, a drug used to treat severe acne that does not respond to treatment with other drugs.

"I don't rule out the use of raquotan," says Belik Dayan.

"There are cases when there is no choice and you must take Roaccutane, you just have to remember that Roaccutane is not suitable for everyone. For example, for those who do sports, and are exposed to the sun or for those who have liver function problems. It is also necessary to do blood tests before taking the medicine."

The ultimate treatment

Paula Belik Dayan explains that "every problem has a different treatment, different products, different technologies, different food supplements to take, dietary change and lifestyle. Once the specific problem is diagnosed, a treatment protocol can be determined. It is important to note that in 20% of the population, acne continues until Mature age. If not treated correctly, in the future we will suffer from skin pigmentation and scars, pimples, holes in the skin, and a rough and red skin texture."

Acne is a common skin disease that mainly affects teenagers, but not only them.

Although the disease is called "pubertal acne" in Hebrew, the annoying pimples that characterize it may also appear in later stages of life in both men and women.

How are you treated?

"For girls, it's usually a hormonal imbalance, and first of all you have to check the hormonal status in the body by blood tests," says Belik Dayan.

"We will treat with acupuncture for hormonal balance and treat the skin with appropriate products, and sometimes we will incorporate delicate equipment. In boys, acne usually begins as a result of inflammation in the hair follicle, and the treatment will be with technological equipment, a combination of appropriate products and nutritional supplements such as internal turmeric to treat inflammation, vitamin c, zinc and more".

"We use IPL technology, a technology that works on a light beam, phototherapy, with the specific handle for acne being blue light whose role is to eradicate the bacteria of P.ACNE," says Maksimov.

Another technology is Dermlux, a device that works with LED lamps that aims to balance the production of sebum, the fatty texture that the skin produces."

Malaria, also known as hrara, sweat rash or heat rash, is a phenomenon caused in situations of increased humidity and heat, and usually occurs because of the hot summer season in Israel.

How are you treated?

"There is no need to go to the clinic in this situation. Treatment is done at home using facial soap, peelings, masks and a combination of natural treatment, apple cider vinegar and more," explains Balik Dayan.

How much will it cost you?

It all depends on the complexity of the treatment, according to the condition of your skin.

The price range ranges from NIS 400 to NIS 1,000 after diagnosing the condition of the face.

Depends on the type of treatment and the equipment offered.
