    98 anti-pocketing services in civilian clothes have been set up to combat, in particular, thefts of travelers.

18 unaccompanied minors were tracked down and returned to their families or placed in communities and 36 foreigners found in an irregular position.


    Controls strengthened also during the extraordinary operation "Safe stations", scheduled in anticipation of major departures on the weekend of August 15th.

The activities, also supported by canine units and by patrols of the Crime Prevention Department, saw 1,139 railway police officers engaged in the 482 airports concerned.

15,835 people checked, one arrested, 35 suspects, over 4,503 checked baggage and 60 high penalties.
