(ANSA) - ROME, AUGUST 17 - "Death is certainly a difficult passage in life. For all of us it is a difficult passage: we all have to go there but it is not easy. But it is also the passage that closes the time of uncertainty and throws vial 'clock. Because the beauty of life, which no longer expires, begins precisely then. It begins with the wisdom of that man and that woman, the elderly, who are capable of giving the young the witness ".
The Pope said this in the general audience while continuing the catechesis on old age.
"This humanity, which with all its progress seems to us an adolescent born yesterday, will it be able to regain the grace of an old age that will keep the horizon of our destination steady?" Asked Pope Francis.
