If your store-bought herbs are drooping in your home after just a few days, it may be due to a lack of repotting.
There are good reasons why you should repot your herbs after purchasing them.
Especially basil and lavender benefit from it.

Herbs are aromatic, delicious and healthy.
After buying the herbs, they just go into a nice cachepot, because after all, they are already in the ground?
This way of thinking is deceptive, because the soil used in the supermarkets is usually of inferior quality.
In addition, the herbs can spread better in new soil.
When repotting, the following should be observed:
If you divide the herbs immediately after buying them, they not only live longer, you can also get up to three new potted plants from them, as the
North German Broadcasting Corporation (NDR)
argues.
At the same time, the herbs receive more light, space and nutrients.
For lavender and basil, you need pots or boxes that are at least 30 to 40 centimeters in diameter.
Drainage holes are also an absolute must.
It is also important that the plant and all its roots move into the new pot and are lightly pressed.
A nutrient-poor substrate that should be peat-free is suitable for herbs.
Basil in particular requires a lot of soil, which is why you should not skimp on it.

Basil in particular needs to be watered frequently, but please never from above!
While lavender has no problem with a place in the blazing sun, the leaves of the more delicate basil burn when exposed to too much sunlight.
