(ANSA) - ROME, AUGUST 17 - Serious fires are active in the Valencian Community, eastern region of Spain.
In particular, according to the local press, a rogoscoppiato near Bejís, north of Valencia, is worrying, as a result of which some localities and a campsite have been evacuated.
In addition, firefighters were injured while participating in firefighting work, while 13 other people were injured and burned yesterday when the train was blocked by flames and panicked disembarked from the convoy.
Meanwhile, a large fire is also active further south, in the Val d'Ebo (Alicante): the flames, which forced the evacuation of about 1,500 people, have already burned over 11,500 hectares.
The hope is that the expected increase in humidity for the next few hours will help contain it.
