A party video that is causing a stir, especially in Finland: because the person who is dancing here and obviously having a good time with friends is Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin.
The video, which has been making the rounds on social media, was picked up by the Finnish tabloid Iltalehti and published what it says "exceptionally" - although the origin of the video footage is unknown.
With that, the topic was out in the world – and the head of government had to justify herself to the public broadcaster Yle: They were private videos and she was “a little annoyed” that they were published, Marin told the journalists who asked.
You just celebrated a little exuberantly with friends.
When asked if drugs were involved, Marin replied that while alcohol was involved, she had no knowledge of other drugs.
It's not the first time that Sanna Marin has made headlines as a party-goer.
The 36-year-old prime minister repeatedly shares private things on social media: like here on her Instagram account, where she shares holiday pictures and shows herself with her husband and celebrities.
Because whether at an ice hockey game or at a festival like the other day – the pictures are always gladly shared.
"We already have the best prime minister - also on social media," tweeted this user.
A view that is widespread in Finland.
Her black leather jacket alone has celebrity status - fueling searches for leather goods.
The fact that Marin is described as cool by the »international press« always makes headlines in Finland.
The questions from the journalists are therefore just as shallow: for example, they wanted to know whether they use an Instagram filter – Sanna Marin is happy to admit that too.
Sometimes the styling arouses even more interest than their political work.
But Sanna Marin doesn't have to apologize for that, after all she does her job when necessary and is almost as bone dry as her German colleague Olaf Scholz.
But that's where the similarities should end.
What this video then also impressively proves - however, it is still unclear whether there will be a political aftermath in this case.
