Pay your respects to Sam Spiegel, the film and television school in Jerusalem, which was chosen for the sixth time in a row as one of the top 15 film schools in the world.
Alongside Israeli cinema, which serves as one of our best ambassadors in the world, here is another international achievement to be proud of: the annual ranking published in the American magazine Hollywood Reporter includes a list of leading and well-known international film schools from all over the world.
It is also noted, among other things, that 75 percent of Sam Spiegel graduates are employed in the film and television industry in Israel and around the world, including the award-winning director Nadav Lapid and the creator of the series "Shtisel", Yonatan Indorski.
Also excellent is Sam Spiegel's international film incubator and the launch of the new series incubator in collaboration with Netflix, Paramount and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which promotes young Israeli creators in the international television market with the professional guidance of industry executives from Israel and the world.
This is a successful year for the Jerusalem institution, which is preparing to move in the coming school year to its new residence in the center of Jerusalem.
"It is always gratifying and exciting to be recognized for Sam Spiegel's unique educational and artistic vision," says Dana Blankstein-Cohen, the school's director, in a statement to the media.
The school has been ranked for 6 years in a row among the 15 best schools in the world thanks to its human capital, teachers, students, school staff and supportive friends.
"The determined and valuable work of the Sam Spiegel community is an expression of excellence in filmmaking, and all its members are committed to growing and releasing to the world the fascinating voices and new talents in the local and international film and television industry."
