Richard Silver is a travel photographer from New York who has visited 101 countries and over 350 cities to explore our everyday world.

His favorite subject to photograph is architecture, so he created an amazing photography project of libraries around the world.

"In libraries you can find the most spectacular interior architecture I've ever seen," he says.

"They are beautiful, colorful, decorated and just great for photography."

Among the 101 countries visited by Silver, he also visited us in Israel, but did not record any library here.

"I've been taking pictures since I was a teenager, now I'm 60 years old," he says.

"Even when I had many careers I always photographed my city, New York, as architecture was my favorite subject to photograph. In 2006 I submitted my work to a German gallery alongside other international galleries, and it was the first gallery to sell my work. I was a real estate agent in Manhattan who sells apartments, but left that career to become a full-time travel photographer in 2013.

Photography was my only form of art."

Explores the world through photography

"I consider myself an 'explorer of the world' through my photography. As I mentioned, since 2013 photography has been my main source of income, so I need to provide more stock of photos to different companies and hope they promote their sales. I also find what I do as Interesting Life I was making a very good living selling real estate in New York, but I wasn't satisfied.

Now I think my life is more enjoyable, even though I don't make as much money as I used to."
