Jane Fonda opened up about her former husbands in an interview with
The Daily Telegraph
on Monday August 8.
Indeed, the Oscar-winning actress was first married to French director and screenwriter Roger Vadim from 1965 to 1973, then to politician Tom Hayden from 1973 to 1990 and, finally, to media magnate Ted Turner from 1991 to 2001.

"My three husbands have definitely taken me down paths I probably wouldn't have taken if I hadn't married them," the 84-year-old actress said.
Before continuing: "And then between the weddings I had boyfriends who didn't train me in new ways, who really had nothing to teach me and I got bored quite quickly".

Although her unions all ended in separation, the

actress wanted to thank her ex-husbands: “I feel like I always had to learn, grow and flourish, and my husbands m 'all helped to do it'.
From her union with Roger Vadim will be born Vanessa Vadim, 53 years old today.
Tom Hayden and Jane Fonda will go on to have two children, Troy Garity, 49, and Mary Luana Williams, 54, who were adopted by the couple as a teenager.

Who says three divorces also says three heartaches and Jane Fonda has found some tips for dealing with a broken heart: "Put a rubber band around your wrist and when you are really angry or sad, slap it against your skin .
This sudden pain changes the neural pathways in your brain and will kind of help you out for a minute.”
Before adding: “Then write him a letter to express your thoughts but do not send it.
A few years later, you'll read it and be amazed at how different you are from when you wrote it."
