NBA 2K23: MyNBA mode recreates seasons from the 80's and 90's with classic teams

"NBA 2K23" focuses fully on the past decades of the NBA.
The "MyNBA" mode will offer new options with the "MyNBA Eras".
Classic teams have been available in NBA 2K for a long time, but until now they have only been a fringe phenomenon.
In "NBA 2K23", the developers of Visual Concepts provide the players with the "MyNBA Eras", so to speak, a time machine.
In addition to the return of the popular "Jordan Challenge", the teams of the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s will also be prominently represented in the "MyNBA" mode.
So far, these could be inserted manually - either as additional teams or as a replacement for a current team.
MyNBA Eras allows players to step into a season of the past and rewrite NBA history.

In MyNBA Eras, players can choose which era they want to start in.
Each decade will have special features in the mode - for example special filters that correspond to the TV broadcast of the time.
Magic vs Bird Era
: Players start in the 1983/84 season - the decade that was dominated by two teams and their respective stars: the Los Angeles Lakers with Magic Johnson and the Boston Celtics with Larry Bird.
But just one season later, a certain Michael Jordan joins, who will leave his mark on the league in the years to come.
Jordan era
: It begins in the 1990/91 season, the year in which the Chicago Bulls around Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Co. win their first championship.
Kobe Era
: This era starts in the 2002/03 season.
In the new millennium, the Los Angeles Lakers are once again in the ascendant, largely thanks to two players: Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant.
Modern Era
: This is the classic "MyNBA" mode.
This means that players will start the upcoming 2022/23 season with the current squads and can lead the fortunes of their favorite teams.
In "MyNBA" mode, NBA fans have always been able to ask "what if?" and imagine their own scenarios.
With the "Eras" this is now also possible in the past.
For example, what if Michael Jordan hadn't even ended up with the Chicago Bulls?
Or if "Shaq" hadn't parted ways with the Lakers after a dispute with Kobe Bryant, could they have won more championships together?
NBA 2K23 will be released on September 9th.
