The tragedy of every war immortalized by Franco Pagetti and Brian Eno's soundscapes, up to Tullio Crali's aeropainting: these are some of the exhibitions scheduled for this week.
PECCIOLI (PI) - At the Palazzo Senza Tempo in Peccioli until 30 September "All wars. Photographs 1998-2019", exhibition of the great photojournalist Franco Pagetti.
Along the way, more than 250 photos tell with sensitive clarity 20 years of conflicts all over the world, from Afghanistan and Kosovo, to East Timor and Kashmir, and again Palestine, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Syria, to shed light on the useless horror of every war.
TRENTO - Audio Installation for Buonconsiglio and 77 Million Painting for Beseno are the installations that make up the unpublished project "Brian Eno x Trentino", in the historic spaces of the Buonconsiglio Castle and Castel Beseno from August 19th to November 6th.
The English composer and visual artist Brian Eno also in Trento uses different media to blend music and figurative arts, creating real "soundscapes" in his installations, synesthetic listening experiences in which to immerse the viewer.
MONFALCONE (GO) - There is time until 25 September to visit "Crali Aeropittore. Semper futurista", set up at the Municipal Gallery of Monfalcone from 8 July.
Curated by more than Marino De Grassi, the exhibition offers the public 80 works from public and private collections, to complete the visual documentation of all the artistic production of Tullio Crali, the greatest exponent of aeropainting, last, coherent and irreducible futurist.
SENIGALLIA (AN) - Until 2 October Palazzo del Duca and Palazzetto Baviera host the personal exhibition of photographer Roger Ballen entitled "The Place of the Upside Down", curated by Massimo Minini.
While a nucleus of over 60 black and white works from the collection of Massimo Minini, spanning Ballen's entire career, is exhibited at Palazzo del Duca, a selection of 12 color shots, absolutely unpublished in Italy, is presented at Palazzetto Baviera. coming from the artist's personal collection, which marks a new phase of technical experimentation in his poetics.
MONTALTO DELLE MARCHE (AP) - The exhibition "Sixtus V and Pericle Fazzini. Glory and Memory", organized on the occasion of the celebrations for the fifth centenary of the birth of Pope Sixtus V. idea of Vittorio Sgarbi and Daniela Tisi, the exhibition tells the two figures of a visionary Pope and one of the greatest Italian sculptors of the twentieth century.
The path ideally opens with that Monument to Sixtus V designed by Pericle Fazzini for the city of Montalto delle Marche between 1984 and 1985 which still stands out in the village today.
TAORMINA - "Humility and Splendor" continues until 14 September, an exhibition set up at Palazzo Ciampoli which constitutes a monumental story in images on the art of the seventeenth century in the Capuchin convents of Messina, Catania and Enna.
Curated by Stefania Lanuzza and Virginia Buda, the project proposes about thirty half-known, sometimes unpublished, masterpieces from hermitages, mountain convents, museums and warehouses and a book section with rare volumes of theology, philosophy and medicine.
