What does a prince have to do with an ice cream?
Take the most popular types of ice cream (strawberry, vanilla and chocolate), put them between two thin waffles or together in an ice cream bowl and it's done: the well-known Fürst Pückler ice cream!
You know it and have probably tasted it before, right?
But what about the namesake?
Hardly anyone has heard of him, since he was considered one of the most dazzling people of the 19th century and frequented the Prussian royal family.
He was considered a connoisseur and therefore also appreciated the three-colored ice cream specialty with fruit and almond brittle from the royal chef.
He liked the dessert so much that from then on he had it served at many of his own celebrations and parties.
Apparently so often that the ice cream was named after him: Prince Hermann von Pückler-Muskau or in short: Prince Pückler ice cream 🍦.
That's how it's done:
You only need a few ingredients:
1 l Fürst Pückler ice cream
750 grams of flour
1.5 tsp baking powder
Colorful sugar sprinkles
Besides that:
loaf pan
The preparation is uncomplicated:
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Take the Fürst Pückler ice cream out of the freezer and let it thaw slightly.
Separate the strawberry, chocolate and vanilla ice cream (approx. 300 g each) and place in different bowls.
Add 0.5 tsp baking powder and 250 g flour to each type of ice cream and mix with a hand mixer to form a homogeneous dough.
Grease and flour a loaf pan well.
Layer the batter in the cake pan.
Start with strawberry and end with vanilla.
Smooth out.
Sprinkle with colored sugar sprinkles.
Bake for about 45 minutes until the cake is cooked (do a skewer test).
Let cool and turn out of the mold.
Enjoy!
Cake always works!
