(ANSA) - NEW YORK, 18 AUG - Streaming beats cable TV for the first time in history.
In July, Americans spent more time watching content from services like Netflix, YouTube and Hbo Max than traditional TV.
This is what emerges from the Nielsen surveys, according to which streaming captured 34.8% of the total time spent watching TV in July while cable TV captured 34.4%.
Americans spent 22.6% more than the time lot ahead of last year, while that in front of cable TV dropped 8.9%, signaling how Americans continue to cut back on traditional TV services.
