Europeans: Jacobs gives up on racing the 4X100 battery

Marcell Jacobs will not run the heats of the men's 4x100 blue relay at the European Athletics Championships in Munich this morning.

The decision was made after the warm-up of the Olympic and continental champion who at 10.10 should have taken part in the battery at the Olympiastadion together with the other Azzurri players Lorenzo Patta, Matteo Melluzzo and Chituru Ali.

In his place on the track will be Wanderson Polanco.
