"I knew the cost of living crisis was serious but I never expected to see a granddaughter of the Queen working in a garden centre," quipped one customer.
Another, taken aback at the tills, added: "I couldn't believe it was Lady Louise, I had to look twice."

In a statement also issued on Thursday August 18, a spokesperson for Buckingham Palace said: “Having received her A Level results today, Lady Louise will start her year at the University of St Andrews in September to study there. 'English".
The 18-year-old is following in the footsteps of her cousin, Prince William, who met Kate Middleton at the same Scottish university.
The Duke of Cambridge having thus obtained a degree in geography, while the Duchess obtained a degree in art history.
Lady Louise Windsor, meanwhile, is expected to study English literature.
