Monday August 8, like every year for the past five years, Nike organized the "SNKRS Day", a sneaker party, where the comma brand unveiled its new pairs exclusively.
A few days earlier, Adidas celebrated its "Yeezy Day".
Proof of the explosion of the phenomenon around sneakers, events of this kind have been multiplying for a few years now.
Faced with the scarcity of these sneakers (which can reach up to several thousand euros on resale), many resale platforms have emerged.
In France, this is the case of Kikikikcz, one of the main market players in France.
The idea was born in a bedroom, between four friends passionate about sneakers.
Killian Dris was already reselling sneakers on his side.
They decide one day to join forces to create one of the largest online resale hubs.

In 2021, more than 107,000 pairs were ordered through their platform.
A success that pushed them to expand.
Now around fifty people work in the middle of a gigantic warehouse in the Paris region to store all their merchandise.
“We are based on the model of the democratization of sneakers, explains Juliette Fagini, manager of the brand image of Kikikikcz.
Our goal is to show that each pair tells a story and that each person has a suitable sneaker for them.
Today it has become an intergenerational object that can claim values”.
Resale platforms like Kikikikicz are also based on rare models.
On the website, customers can buy the pair of their choice.
If in stock, the pair ships within 48 hours.
If it isn't, that's where the Kikikickz experts come in. "Our job is to look for rare sneakers, via a network of sellers around the world," continues Pierre- Antoine Seingier, buyer at Kikikickz.
Once the pair is purchased, it is studied from every angle by the "authentication" specialists, who ensure that the sneaker is a real one and not a counterfeit.
“Depending on the rarity of the model, it takes between 3 and 10 days to find a pair”.
