In Poland, the authorities caught an 81-year-old trying to smuggle more than five kilograms of heroin.
She was in transit from Malawi via Kenya and Doha and wanted to fly even further to Canada from Warsaw - which struck the border guards at Warsaw's Chopin Airport suspiciously.
In addition, the elderly woman was noticeably nervous.
During the inspection, the Customs and Tax Service officials discovered a double bottom in the suitcase.
After tearing down the extra wall of luggage, they found four packets of a beige substance with a granular consistency.
It was drugs: five kilograms of heroin worth almost 2.4 million Polish złoty, the equivalent of 508,000 euros.
Customs even released a video showing the drugs being found:
The officers arrested the travelers for drug smuggling, and the public prosecutor's office initiated proceedings.
The senior now faces a prison sentence of between three and 15 years.
