(ANSA) - ROME, AUGUST 20 - 24,394 new infections from Covid have been registered in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Health Minister.
Yesterday the infected were 24,691.
The victims are 88, down from 124 yesterday.
The swabs made are 164,805.
The rate is 14.8%, down from yesterday when it was 15.5%.
On the other hand, 256 patients are admitted to intensive care (-4), while daily admissions are 22. On the other hand, 6,528 patients are hospitalized in ordinary wards, 254 fewer in the last 24 hours.
The currently positive are 782,628, 16,795 less than yesterday.
Discharged and healed are 20,673,711 (+41,099) while the total of cases since the beginning of the pandemic is 21,630,998 and that of deaths is 174,659.
