After colliding with a mobile home in Baden-Württemberg, a bus slid down a slope and crashed head-on into a supermarket facade – but the rear got stuck on a wall.

The 72-year-old bus driver was taken to the hospital by helicopter with serious injuries, police said.

The van driver and an employee of the shop were also reportedly injured.

The woman was therefore in the lounge at the time of the accident when she hit shards of a broken pane of glass.

According to the first findings of the police on Friday in Herrenberg near Tübingen, the bus driver had ignored the right of way of a mobile home at the exit from a bus station.

The two vehicles collided, causing the bus to slide down the slope.

The front of the bus was smashed in the accident, the wreck is now to be recovered with cranes.

According to a first estimate, the property damage amounts to 115,000 euros.

Experts should help in the analysis of the accident.
