(ANSA) - ROME, AUGUST 21 - "Entering the life project that God proposes asks us to restrict the space of selfishness, to reduce the presumption of self-sufficiency, to lower the loyalty of pride and pride, to overcome laziness in order to cross the risk of love, even when it involves the cross ".
The Pope said this at the Angelus commenting on the Gospel today.
"I follow closely with concern and pain the situation that has arisen in Nicaragua, which involves people and institutions.
I would like to express my conviction and my hope that through an open and sincere dialogue we can still find the basis for a respectful and peaceful coexistence ". The Pope said this at the Angelus, asking God to" inspire this concrete will in the hearts of all ". In Nicaragua it has been under attack by Daniel Ortega's regime for months.
"We persevere in closeness and in prayer for the Ukrainian caropopole which is experiencing immense cruelty", said the Pope at the Angelus. (ANSA).
