The actor Alon Abutbol has been cast in the musical "Visit of the Orchestra" which will be performed in the West End in London alongside the singer Miri Mesika.

As I recall, the version that appeared on Broadway was played by the actor Sasson Gabay.

The previous version became a huge hit and garnered ten Tony Awards out of 11 nominations, including the Best Musical award.

The Orchestra's Visit" is director Eran Kolirin's debut film released in 2007. The film won 8 Ophir Awards, other awards worldwide and commercial success. The big shoes and glorious history will soon be joined by Mesika and Abotbol.

Abutbol broke out in the film "Two Fingers from Sidon" about the events of the First Lebanon War, since then he has starred in dozens of films and series in Israel, but also in the world.

In recent decades, he has appeared in Spielberg's "Munich", Ridley Scott's "Body of Lies" (alongside DiCaprio), "Target: London" (with Gerard Butler) and even the third film in the Batman trilogy - "The Dark Knight Rises" .

He was also photographed for another Hollywood movie called "Lansky" about the life of the famous gangster Meir Lansky.
