Fires: the DGFiP launches a telephone cell to support the victims

2022-08-23T14:55:49.741Z

To obtain financial assistance, individuals and professionals confronted with the passage of the flames can contact the DGFiP, which has a special number for them.

While more than 60,000 hectares burned in France this summer, the Minister Delegate for Public Accounts Gabriel Attal asked the General Directorate of Public Finances to set up a "

fire cell

" by telephone in support of victims, professionals or individuals.

This information device makes it possible to better guide users on the tax aid they can benefit from to cope with financial difficulties after the fires.

Since Friday, August 19, any individual or professional, victim of a slowdown in their activity, destruction or lasting damage to the quality of their property can therefore count on the help of this emergency telephone platform.

Bringing oxygen back to disaster victims

Through this approach, the objective of the DGFiP is to pay particular attention to the requests of disaster victims and to ensure the concrete implementation of the "

support plan

" and "

tax benevolence

" initiated by the government.

Bercy takes care to insist on the fact that “the DGFiP can also consider”

possible reductions (in the event of destruction or lasting damage to the value of the property)

”.

The Bercy services offer two separate telephone numbers: for individuals, dial 0809 401 401, and for professional victims of the fires, they should dial 0806 000 245. Agents from the DGFiP or Urssaf will be mobilized to respond to their grant requests.

Bercy specifies that these calls are not surcharged.

As a reminder, the creation of this "

fire unit

" follows Gabriel Attal's interview with the "

Dauphiné Libéré

" on Monday August 15 in which the Minister Delegate in charge of Public Accounts indicated his intention to establish "

a kind of 'tax buffer

' for all fire victims.
