With GTA, Rockstar Games has launched one of the most successful games on the market.

Now they strike one of the inventors of the game series.

Why?

New York - Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive are very successful with the GTA games.

The next part of the series, GTA 6, is also on the agenda.

Mike Dailly is known as one of the inventors of the popular games.

He was instrumental in the development of the first "Grand Theft Auto" part.

One would think that Rockstar Games would be grateful for the mega hit that Mike Dailly has brought them.

However, Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have now struck down content from the GTA inventor on Twitter and YouTube.

ingame.de from IPPEN.MEDIA reveals why Rockstar Games struck Mike Dailly.

Rockstar Games: Prototype of GTA is struck

28-year-old prototypes struck:

Mike Dailly shared on his Twitter channel that Rockstar Games and Takes-Two Interactive have struck him on both YouTube and Twitter.

Mike Dailly had uploaded videos of 28-year-old GTA prototypes to his channels.

Rockstar Games didn't like that at all and they struck the video.

In addition, the release date of GTA 6 was only recently revealed.

Dailly himself said on Twitter that Rockstar Games is now apparently trying to block all releases of old development videos.

The prototype version that Mike released as a video looks almost exactly like the released version of GTA 1.

Who is Mike Dailly anyway?

Michael Dailly, or Mike Dailly for short, is a video game designer from Scotland.

He is one of the four founders of DMA Design.

He is best known for designing the original GTA prototype.

He is therefore considered one of the inventors of the popular Grand Theft Auto series.

Mike Dailly is considered a legend by many fans of the GTA games.

Accordingly, many fans are upset after he was struck by Rockstar Games.

Why were GTA prototypes struck?

Following the Take-Two and Rockstar Games strikes, Mike Dailly removed all of the GTA development work he had previously posted.

Fans on Twitter feel that this prototype footage should be honored and not, as Rockstar Games has done, prevented viewing.

In addition, fans of GTA recently got upset about a Rockstar Games video.

The published prototype material does not appear to reveal any trade secrets.

It's more of a historical reminder of the early days of GTA.

Why Rockstar Games decided to strike Mike Dailly's videos is still unclear.

Neither Takes-Two Interactive nor Rockstar Games have commented directly.

It remains to be seen if there will be more strikes and what the exact reason is.

GTA 6 is to be seen in exactly the same way, there the indications of a reveal are becoming more and more condensed.
