Unknown persons desecrated the Mühldorfer Hart concentration camp memorial in Bavaria.
As the police in Rosenheim announced, a witness had already alerted the Waldkraiburg police inspection on Monday.
He reported seeing graffiti on the concentration camp memorial.
On site, the police found various graffiti on memorial stones and plaques, including several swastikas and other abuse.
The case was handled by the K5 department of the Traunstein Criminal Investigation Department, which is responsible for state security offences.
The officials are investigating the previously unknown perpetrators because of the use of license plates of unconstitutional organizations.
Based on previous investigations, it must be assumed that at least two perpetrators used black Edding pens.
The time on Monday (August 22), between 9 a.m. and 3.25 p.m., was narrowed down as the time of the crime.
There is no information about the perpetrators so the police are looking for witnesses.
