Game of Thrones fans have been replenished with House of the Dragon.
A video from New York demonstrates that there is a great deal of interest.
The first episode of House of the Dragon is out.
Since the series tells the story before "Game of Thrones", there is a lot of interest.
This is also proven by a viral video from New York.
A passer-by on the street noticed a building in which a large number of households had just switched on the same television channel.
It was probably the premiere of "House of the Dragon", which the US broadcaster HBO aired on HBO on August 21.
The video made the rounds on social media and has since been shared and viewed countless times.
House of the Dragon is off to a good start
Demand for the first episode was extremely high.
In the US, this caused the servers of HBO's in-house streaming service, HBO Max, to become overloaded.
As a result, many viewers were unable to watch the premiere straight away – a common problem with popular programs.
This is also often the case with live broadcasts of sports – and this also underlines how high the interest in “House of the Dragon” was right at the start of the series.

However, not all viewers really warmed to the "Game of Thrones" spinoff.
Although the episode has an average rating of 8.9 on IMDb, Metacritic lists a number of critical reviews from the press - the Metascore is currently 68 out of 100.
It remains to be seen how well the entire first season of "House of the Dragon" will be received by audiences.
The new episodes appear on a weekly basis.
In this country, the series runs on Sky or WOW.
