Just ten years ago, Nicolas Ghesquière, who had just left Balenciaga, met his close associates in secret in this apartment in the former Hôtel de Tessé, at number 1 of the prestigious Quai Voltaire.
For days, with them, he had conceptualized his vision of Louis Vuitton, whose head office is just a stone's throw away, on the other side of the Seine.
A few weeks later, he would be appointed artistic director of the women's collections of the trunk maker, creating a stir on the fashion planet flabbergasted or admiring by the marriage of the ultimate luxury house and the
"most influential fashion designer of his time".
