Covid: 80 deaths, 21,805 positives. Rate at 13.8%

(ANSA) - ROME, AUGUST 27 - 21,805 new infections from Covid have been registered in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Health Minister.

Yesterday the infected were 21,998.

The victims are 80, down from 99 yesterday.

The swabs carried out are 158,286.

The rate is 13.8%, down from yesterday, which was 14.8%.

    There are 227 patients admitted to intensive care (-4), while daily admissions are 15. On the other hand, 5,668 patients admitted to ordinary wards, 159 less in the last 24 hours.

The currently positive are 682,575, compared to yesterday 15,247 less.

Discharged and healed are 20,930,981 (+36,969) while the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic is 21,788,862 and that of deaths is 175,306.
