The British couple James and Nikki Roadnight were amazed when Keanu Reeves suddenly appeared at their wedding last Monday: when the two were celebrating their wedding in a hotel in Northamptonshire, UK, the groom spotted the Hollywood star at the bar – and invited just bring him in for the party.
"He was very friendly and said he'd be late," Nikki Roadnight told Newsweek magazine.
"We didn't know if he was going to do it or not, but it was cool that my husband spoke to him!" An hour later, a hotel employee ushered her into the garden, where a "very special guest" was waiting for her.
And there he was, the "Matrix" star.
"It was very exciting," enthuses the bride.
"I offered him a drink but he declined and said he had a long flight and wouldn't be staying long but he was so nice and friendly and congratulated us on our wedding."
The couple was allowed to take photos with him – they later published it on Twitter.
Roadnight said both she and her husband, as well as their guests, were deeply impressed by the encounter.
"The wedding was absolutely perfect anyway, we had the most magical day," said the bride.
“Keanu Reeves coming over to say hello was just out of this world.
Something to remember and the start of many more adventures together.«
The 'John Wick' star, who is dating artist Alexandra Grant, is considered one of Hollywood's most approachable stars.
In January, it was revealed that he donated about 70 percent of his earnings from the first three "Matrix" films to cancer research.
He even set up his own foundation.
In 2020, he auctioned off a phone call to himself and donated the proceeds to a hospital's pediatric cancer ward.
Reeves was "too good for this world," said a New Yorker journalist.
