The Belgian Remco Evenepoel has kept the red jersey of leader of the general classification.

The story of Vine is particularly curious because these at the Vuelta are the first road victories of the 26-year-old Australian who is the e-cycling world champion.

It all started in 2020, when Vine, before the pandemic, was going through a difficult time and had considered retiring.

But then during the lockdown to stay in shape he had adopted the Zwift platform to train in a virtual way.

With Zwift, by pedaling on the rollers, you can simulate training courses all over the world and challenge your friends on the net.

Vine was going so fast that he had signed up for the Zwift Academy, a sort of cycling talent show, which offered the winners (a man and a woman) a professional contract with Alpecin Fenix.

Just Vine had won in the male and for this he was hired by Alpecin for which he still runs.

Even later Vine continued to love the rollers and for this he took part in the first edition of the E-Cycling World Championships, held in February of this year.

Also on this occasion he had won by becoming the first world champion.

Now the successes uphill, and on a real and not virtual road, at the Vuelta
