The singer won, among other things, the award for the best music video of the year and for the direction of her own 10-minute music video • This is the second time she also won as a music video director • The ceremony included performances such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lizzo, Eminem with Snoop Dogg and the rock band from Italy Moonskin

Taylor Swift is the big winner at the MTV Video Music Awards after proving that length does matter with three Moon Man figurines for the 10-minute music video for "All Too Well."

The song was originally released ten years ago from her album "Red", which the 32-year-old singer completely re-recorded last year as part of the fight to retain the original rights to her catalog of songs.

Swift also directed the music video, actually a short film starring Dylan O'Brien ("Young Wolf") and Sadie Pink ("Stranger Things"), and she won, among other things, the award for the best music video of the year and for the direction, the second time she also won as a music video director .

Swift became the first female artist to win the prestigious award for music video of the year three times, having previously done so with "Bad Blood" in 2015 and "You Need To Calm Down" in 2019.

She is also the first to win the grand prize at the ceremony as a performer and director.

Since it is a short film, the clip is also eligible to be considered for an Oscar nomination in the best short film category for the next ceremony of the American Film Academy.

"It warms my heart that this is the first time in the history of the VMAs that four women are nominated in the directing category," Swift said in her winning speech, which she also used to announce a new album that will be released in October, "I am proud of what we created and know that the short film would not have been possible without the fans, as well as the recording My albums again. You are the ones who empowered me."

The ceremony included performances by, among others, the Red Hot Chili Peppers who won the Global Icon Award, Lizzo, Eminem with Snoop Dogg and the Italian rock band Moonskin, who won the Alternative Video Clip Award and became the first Eurovision winners to win the VMA.

The ceremony was moderated by three generations of hip hop: El El Cole J, Nicki Minaj who received a lifetime achievement award for her work in making video clips and appeared in a string of hits, and Jack Harlow who picked up four awards.

Puerto Rican rapper Bud Bunny was named Artist of the Year, Harry Styles won Album of the Year and Billie Eilish's "Happier Than Ever" won Song of the Year.
