The accident happened in the Allgäu Alps on the Mindelheim via ferrata

In Bavaria, a 55-year-old died after falling off a via ferrata.
Shortly before the end of the Mindelheim via ferrata near Oberstdorf, the woman fell about 300 meters in an unsecured place, according to the police in Kempten.
She sustained fatal injuries in the rocky terrain on Monday afternoon.
Austrian forces rescued the woman because the German colleagues had to help with another mountain accident at the same time.
The victim was traveling with her husband and a mutual friend, both of whom were being looked after by the police.
