The Director of Education in Damascus Countryside, Maher Faraj, announced that 10 schools in the areas of (Al-Sbeinah, Daraya, Zamalka, Douma, Al-Kiswah, and Zabadani) have entered service with the start of the school year.
In an interview with SANA’s reporter, Faraj explained that the directorate has completed the restoration and maintenance of 70 schools in various regions of the governorate in cooperation with the Damascus countryside governorate and local community activities, and securing all their requirements so that they are all ready at the beginning of the school year.
Faraj pointed out that all the governorate's schools have completed all their preparations to receive the new school year, where about 3.5 million books will be distributed to all the governorate's schools, in addition to the continuation of implementing the experimental curriculum for students of category (B), as the number of students enrolled in this curriculum reached 754 male and female students to complete their studies with the start of the year new according to their ministerial instructions.
Faraj indicated that during the summer vacation work was carried out to build and rehabilitate human capacities according to the needs and field requirements, as many courses were implemented to rehabilitate educational, teaching and administrative frameworks and courses for librarians regarding receiving books, organizing and enriching the library, urging students and students to attend it, and courses for teachers of specialized subjects and mentors The educators were encouraged to use modern educational means and technologies, in addition to implementing courses for computer secretaries and active learning courses in cooperation with international organizations, targeting 100 teachers and teachers in the areas of Al-Tal, Qatana and Saqba, and distributing different educational aids to all schools.
The Director of Education indicated that during the school year, the implementation of the health protocol in schools will be monitored, pointing out that the vaccine was provided free of charge to all educational and teaching frameworks and frameworks working in the sub-administration and all educational complexes against the Corona virus in cooperation with the health directorates of Damascus and Damascus countryside.
