The board of the Israel Broadcasting Corporation discussed today (Tuesday) the selection of a CEO at the end of a process that lasted three months.
14 nominations were submitted to the search committee and 12 of them met the threshold conditions.
The committee, whose members were Gil Omer (Chairman), Michal Rafali Kaduri and Professor Menachem Ben Sasson, decided to exercise its authority to locate candidates also proactively and turned to five additional candidates who did not submit nominations following the appeal.
Among the 12 candidates who met the threshold conditions and were interviewed before the committee, five were selected who went through an evaluation procedure at the "Different Approach" placement company that accompanied the process.
The search committee held a discussion taking into account the opinions received from the placement company and the opinions of recommenders, and at the end decided on three candidates who went on to be discussed before the corporate board.
Today the three candidates recommended by the search committee appeared before the council.
At the end of the discussion, a vote was held, and according to its results, the council unanimously elected Golan Yochpaz for the position of CEO.
