The Deliveroo platform, found guilty of concealed work, was ordered to pay Urssaf 9.7 million euros for not having paid social contributions and contributions, according to a judgment of the Paris court.

Deliveroo France is ordered "to pay Urssaf Île-de-France the sum of 6,431,276 euros in respect of social security contributions and contributions, in addition to the sum of 2,489,570 euros in respect of supplementary recovery increases for work violations concealed, and the sum of 756,033 euros in respect of provisional delay increases”, details the court in its decision rendered on Thursday.

Last April, the firm, which then appealed this decision, was found guilty of having employed delivery people as freelancers instead of paying them between 2015 and 2017, at the start of its activity in France.

Actions brought up by couriers and an investigation by the labor inspectorate.

She then received a record fine of 375,000 euros, the maximum provided for by law.

A historic decision.

In early June, the meal delivery specialist was again convicted by the industrial tribunal for concealed work, for the first time for post-2017 facts.

Again, Deliveroo has announced its intention to appeal.

Then in July, the Paris Court of Appeal in turn condemned Deliveroo, for the first time, for "concealed work".

The court confirmed the requalification of a courier's service contract into an employment contract.
