Consumers keep complaining about retailers' high prices.
But these are also arguing with the manufacturers for the same reason.
Munich - The high gas prices and high inflation are currently affecting many people.
Not only consumers are exposed to high costs.
Retailers are also struggling with manufacturers' high prices.
Both sides do not agree on the selling prices.
The manufacturers set the prices too high in the eyes of the dealers.
The producers react and threaten the supermarkets and discounters with delivery stops.
But the dealers are also setting an example - and banning the first products from the shelves.
Supermarkets and discounters are throwing branded products off the shelves
Many products have become more expensive.
This is mainly due to the fact that production costs have also increased.
Energy costs, packaging costs, personnel, transport and storage are paid by the manufacturers.
The additional costs must therefore be recovered - through higher sales prices.
But that's not just a thorn in the side of customers, supermarkets don't want to put up with it any longer either.
The dealers are currently negotiating terms and conditions, during which the prices for the next few months are being discussed.
Shelves could soon be empty again, because supermarkets and discounters are throwing out numerous brands.

According to
Focus online
, price increases for chocolate, jams, juices, ready meals, crisps and coffee are planned.
The branded products from Milka, Nutella, Zentis and Kinder-Schokolade are particularly affected.
The air between manufacturers and dealers is getting thicker and thicker.
Edeka is currently negotiating with Coca-Cola.
According to
Focus online
, it should be about the pricing of the company's popular drinks.
Since Edeka does not respond to the manufacturer's ideas, the group threatens to stop deliveries.
Negotiations between Edeka and Coca-Cola are still ongoing.
Dispute between dealers and manufacturers - delivery stops and skyrocketing prices
Meanwhile, discounters such as Aldi Nord and Süd and Lidl are also in talks with manufacturers.
Here the situation seems to be more serious, because the first products are missing from the shelves.
Aldi has taken some of the Danone Group's yoghurt products off the shelves.
The first products are also said to be missing from Lidl.
This affects products from "Müllermilch", "Henkel" and "Beiersdorf", as
Focus online
further reported.
Edeka boss Markus Mosa and Rewe chief buyer Hans-Jürgen Moog told
Lebensmittel Zeitung
that the manufacturers are demanding exaggerated price increases.
Traders would only temporarily agree to the manufacturers' price increases and would even demand insight into the manufacturers' calculations.
Consumers must therefore prepare for further delivery difficulties.
New price increases are expected in late summer and autumn.
However, consumers still have the cheaper own brands of the supermarkets.
