(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 03 SEPT - A "degeneration" to which "the name of the media circus is well known", in which "even individuals who should feel the institutional duty to deal only with the judicial authority are taking an active part, and the need to conform one's conduct to an uncompromising reserve, as a sign of respect for Mrs. Liliana Resinovich ".
This is the harsh comment expressed about the 'parallel media trials' in a note by the Chief Prosecutor of Trieste Antonio De Nicolos on the case of Resinovich, who disappeared from home on 14 December and whose body was found on 5 January.
"Sorry to have to note - continues the note from the Chief Prosecutor - that alongside the dutifully scrupulous investigations that this office is conducting in relation to the death of Liliana Resinovich, a series of parallel media trials have been taking place for some time on various social media, fed by some true and relevant news and by not a few false or irrelevant information, manipulated by self-styled experts and oriented towards results not validated by the documents regularly acquired in the procedural file ".
For De Nicolo "it is hardly necessary to state that the evaluation of the judicial authority can be based exclusively on these acts, which alone, by law, has this task".
