From imminent danger of death to complete recovery: this is the story, which dates back to 2011, of an Argentine girl who was then eleven years old.

A miracle for the Catholic Church, attributed to the intercession of John Paul the first (born Albino Luciani),

Pope for only 33 days,

from 26 August to 28 September 1978, when he died in the Apostolic Palace, officially of acute myocardial infarction.

Precisely the recognition of that miracle gave

the green light to the beatification, which will take place tomorrow in the Vatican,

of the Pontiff who the cardinals had elected in the Conclave after the death of Paul VI and who, as a pastor, with a sober style, had always shown attention to the sick, for the poor and for the working world.

It will also be a historic day in

Canale d'Agordo (Belluno), the birthplace of Pope Luciani,

which has just over a thousand inhabitants: tomorrow morning, most of the people will follow the beatification ceremony, presided over by Pope Francis, through a large screen set up in the central square of the town named after Pope Luciani, while a large delegation of canalini will be in St. Peter's Square to witness the event live.

The Argentine girl on March 20, 2011 had a severe headache that continued for a week, then there was fever, vomiting, behavioral and speech disorders.

On the same day she was rushed to Paraná.

According to what is reported in Vatican documents, after the examinations and treatment of the case, the diagnosis of "

acute onset epileptic encephalopathy was formulated.

8 August the patient was extubated;

on 25 August the state epilepticus appeared resolved and on 5 September 2011 the patient was discharged with a prescription for drug and rehabilitation therapy.

The child regained complete physical and behavioral autonomy.

The document of the Dicastery reads:

"The initiative to invoke the Venerable Servant of God John Paul the First was taken by the parish priest of the parish to which the hospital complex belonged. He went to the bedside of the little girl and proposed to her mother to ask for the intercession of the Venerable Servant of God, to whom he was very devoted

. Their prayers were joined by the nursing staff present in intensive care. The invocations were addressed exclusively to Pope Luciani. The prayers were unanimous, individual and preceded the favorable change in the clinical course. the causal link between the invocation to Venerable John Paul the first and the

healing of the little girl was recognized ".
