(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, 04 SEPT - The former president of the United States, Barack Obama, won an Emmy for the narration of the Netflix documentary series 'The most beautiful national parks in the world', announced the American Television Academy.
The award ceremony will take place on September 13, but smaller awards are announced in advance.
Another president had already received an Emmy: Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956, but in his case it was an honorary award.
In addition to Obama, other Emmy award nominees in the storyteller category were former NBA star KareemAbdul-Jabbar ('Black patriots: heroes of the Civil war'), Academy Award-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o ('Serengeti II) and veteran naturalist David Attenborough ('The mating game').
